Design Research Fundamentals

Sendfull’s flagship offering is a two-day Design Research Fundamentals Bootcamp. Learn the Customer Understanding Toolkit, pragmatic and efficient tools tailored to the specific challenges of launching new spatial computing and AI products.

Audience:

  • This bootcamp is meant for engineers, scientists, designers, and product managers working on spatial computing and AI products. If you have access to a dedicated Design Research team, this bootcamp will help you collaborate more effectively with them. If you don’t, through the Bootcamp you will learn a toolkit that you can immediately put to use to get better user feedback.

Syllabus:

  • Part I: Approaches for identifying customer needs, including leading effective customer conversations to discover opportunity areas.

  • Part II: Tools to translate customer insights into product solutions.

  • Part III: A framework to evaluate your solution from concept through launch.

  • Part IV: Leveraging customer conversations to understand analytics trends post-launch.

Format:

Evaluating Cognitive Load

Apply frameworks adopted from the latest neuroscience research to evaluate and optimize products to keep mental workload low.

Audience:

Learn how to design effective human-AI collaboration, including robust evaluation frameworks for usability, harm & bias, and continuous learning.

Setting up an Effective Tech Transfer Process

The Sendfull team can facilitate working sessions between product teams and research scientists teams to formalize an operating model for effective transfer of Research tech to product roadmaps.

Audience:

  • Product teams working on emerging products. Product managers, Product marketing, Engineers, Research Scientists, Designers. This workshop is most effective when run with a cross-functional team, who develop shared vocabulary and tools.

Syllabus:

  • Part I: How to align teams through customer understanding sessions.

  • Part II: Ideating on solutions, considering both customer insights and technology capabilities.

  • Part III: Concept testing best practices to guide early solution development.

  • Part IV: Usability best practices to refine your solution.

Format:
